Oracle Certified Professional
The
Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) program was developed by Oracle Corp.
to recognize technical professionals who can demonstrate the expertise
and hands-on skills required to support Oracle's products. Currently, Oracle
has over 80,000 certified professionals in 65 countries, across four certification
tracks.Oracle Certification Tracks:

Each OCP
track is composed of one to five exams. The exams are designed to challenge
candidates on specific knowledge that has been gained through Oracle training,
as well as experience they've developed on the job, to real-world scenarios.
According
to the revised guideline for Oracle certification new candidates must now
take at least one instructor-led Oracle University course to receive Oracle9i
certification. This course can be either the online or in-class format,
and can be taken directly from Oracle University or at an Oracle Authorized
Education Center or Partner. Certain exemptions apply. (See below)
Any
one of the following courses satisfy the education requirement:

Candidates
are exempted from the education requirement if:

The candidate
has already taken at least one exam in the 9i DBA track prior to September
1, 2002
The
candidate is already certified in the DBA track at version 7.3, 8.0 or
8i. Upgrade candidates are not required to meet the instructor-led course
requirement to upgrade their credential to Oracle9i.
